What is the benefit of working with Playing Through Travel?
Save you time, energy and maintain the relationships with your travel partners so you are not herding cats. We’ll handle every detail so your group shows up ready to play…unless you really want a second job.
We’ve built relationships through preferred partner networks with top courses and resorts so you get access to upgrades, exclusive perks, and treatment that you won’t find booking on your own.
From the inquiry call I listen and learn of your expectations and what your group actually wants, build an itinerary everyone can agree on, have a pre-meeting before travel and provide prompt correspondence if any issues arise that will result in a memorable travel experience.
How are your planning fees calculated?
The planning fee compensates for my time, expertise, partner outreach and detailed research to create a personalized itinerary for you and your group. From researching the best courses, tee times, securing group rates and any special requests–we do the work, you enjoy the 19th hole.
Fee amount is based on on the complexity of the request, number of destinations/courses secured to play, the group size, and level of exclusivity required.
The planning fee also allows me to reinvest in gaining knowledge and mastery in planning these types of trips: firsthand destination research, golf industry conferences, familiarization trips, and the ongoing relationships with course pros and resorts who are on-the-ground experts that take years to build.
Do you book flights?
Yes. We use a flight desk to book air travel. Criteria and class information to follow.
Do you book Airbnb or vrbo?
It depends. Typically, I cannot maintain control when we are booking this (condition of property, something does not work, last minute cancellation, etc.); however, I have built relationships and met the owners of some properties on these platforms who I would be comfortable working with.
We do have trusted partners who offer professionally managed home or villa rentals, many with added perks like concierge services or personal chefs.
How do we get started?
Book a complimentary consult call and tell me where you want to play, when you want to travel, and who’s coming. I’ll outline next steps and we’ll begin designing your itinerary.
How far in advance should we plan?
For peak seasons and bucket-list destinations, earlier is better. As a rule of thumb: 3–6 months for domestic trips and 6–12 months for international or group travel.
